New to streaming!

Right,

Be honest as iv no idea. Just recently decided i want to start streaming, im using xbox one with mixer and OBS then onto facebook gaming live.

My issue is im using a laptop, the specs are:
Windows 7
i3-370m
4gb ram
Now, obs and mixer are absolutely fine when streaming. As soon as i go live on facebook its massively delayed (i believe facebook is 15 seconds) and the lag is unreal, its so jumpy.

Is the laptop not powerful enough? Is it too old?

Try using restream.io in OBS and you can go to Mixer and Facebook with just one connection.
Also post a log of streaming if still having issue.

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

Settings --> Stream --> Service --> Restream.io - RTMP or Restream.io - FTL (if you want to use Restream with Mixer's FTL service, which is awesome)
