Hey Guys , I am new to Twitch and recently set up my Twitch account and downloaded Obs studio, I have tried to set up up as best i can watching so many tutorials and find myself having problems, I am not sure what i am doing wrong or if my internet is the issue or the fact im trying to stream using a gaming laptop , I can play games good but i am not that Pc and settings etc fuzzys my brain some.

My internet download speed is 29.71 mbps
Upload speed 9.68 mbps

I am trying to stream at 30fps with my bit rate at 2500, did try 3000 and 3500 as i was told my internet could support it but made the streaming worse.

The problem i am encountering is my game streams smooth but when ever something happens like i enter a thick forest or have other players around me the game on my twitch stream starts lagging a lot. Cannot pin point whats causing this,

My laptop is using wireless internet, should i connect it to my router via cable ?? also my laptop is a Alienware 13 Intel(R) core(TM) i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz

Memory 8.00GB

64-bit Operating System, x64- based processor

Hope that helps guys, if you need any more info, Let me know, Really appreciate and help or advice you can offer.

Your CPU can't keep up with the encoding demand which is why your stream is poor quality. Does this happen with all games or just The Isle?

Not really to be honest, you could try setting the CPU Usage preset to superfast or ultrafast. You'll find that in Settings, Output, Output Mode set to Advanced, Streaming Tab, CPU Usage Preset. Currently you are using veryfast which is the default try, superfast and then ultrafast and see if that helps.

No promises though, I don't think that mobile CPUs are the best for encoding :-(

Ah ok , I will try that, I don't know whether it is worth mentioning I downloaded the latest obs but had to download the 13.2 version in the end because the newer version would not capture my game and kept black screening no matter what i selected either capture full screen or selected it in list. I found this version will only capture my game screen if i right click obs and run it selecting my nvidia processor, instead of intergrated graphics one, does this impact anything, ?

You should stick with the latest build and see if we can fix that for you because that is working for others at least the capture part is :-)

You have to associate OBS with your Nvidia GPU to get it to work on a hybrid system so you did the right thing there, you can make a permanent change for this is the Nvidia control panel.
