I'm new, trying to figure this out. Any advice would be appreciated. I've run 2 streams, both a couple of hours, each had 30-40% skipped frames due to encoding lag.

Gaming PC
i5-10400F
3070ti
16gb 2666mhz ram
500gb SSD
window 10 (fully updated)

Capture Card is a Chinese 1080p external

Streaming PC
Ryzen 1200 4-Core 3.6gz
GTX 1660 Super
8gb 2400mhz RAM
250gb SSD
Windows 10 Fully Updated

I'm using Voicemeeter Potato to handle audio mixing, both PCs are wired direct to my main router (ping is 128ms between them)

On my steaming PC, when streaming, I have OBS open and these programs minimized
VB Potato
Stream Deck
StreamLabs

Log is attached

that log file is useless. you need to post a log that corresponds to the issue that you are experiencing. please post a log that contains streaming or recording data.

Did you look at the log file? Because thats the file from the stream that had the issues.

I get error 413 when I try to get the link.

So I went to the folder (%APPDATA%\obs-studio\logs) as instructed in the "how to post a log" guide. Then I attached that log to my post. I removed 90% of the

21:12:21.442: warning: Found EOI before any SOF, ignoring
21:12:21.442: fatal: No JPEG data found in image
21:12:21.442: Error decoding video

because the file as too large for the upload.

Hi, New Streamer!
I've learned a lot from OBS' Stats panel. You can find it in the Docks menu, it's at the bottom. You can dock this where you feel or double-click on the the white bar and it will be docked for you. "Docked" means put it where you can easily use it. So, this Stats window will give you some very specific information being read from your performance. Give a screen shot of the Stats while you are using it, maybe someone in this forum give you some great answers to resolve your issue. Here are a couple of links to explain some things, I hope it helps...

By removing the "irrelevant" duplicated entries, you removed important entries as well that hid between them.
All these "warning: Found EOI before any SOF, ignoring" entries are from your USB capture devices. They tell of USB connectivity issues, for example bandwidth issues. The accumulated data to transmit is more than the USB bus can carry. Don't use USB hubs, connect them directly to your PC. Make sure a USB 3 capable device actually uses USB 3 and a USB 2 capable device USB 2 (and not 1). Use a tool like usbtreeview to verify this.
Or just disconnect USB capture devices you don't actually use.
After you solved the USB issues, the logfile will be much cleaner. Either your original issues will be gone as well, or they can be better analyzed.
