So I'll start with specs I guess pc is as fallows
Ryzen 3700x
Asus x470 hero wifi
Radeon VII
Monitors x 2 1440p res 144hrz
Corsair veng pro 16gb 3400mhz oc
Problem: when recording game footage of games like smite, metro exodus redux or last light there are zero issues and these are are all running at max settinn pushing or hitting that 144hrz frame cap(pre set in settings) however when I tried my hand at recording FFXV the only time I could get it to record some what reliably was setting frames in the in game graphics setting to 60fps however during any combat scenarios there will be obviouse hard frame skips but if I select obs via(alt tab) game still running in capture screen) the lag will go way usualy but i obviously cant play at that point looking for some insight as I intend to do some pitty streaming/ recording with some friends but I want to make sure things are working properly by then.

Try using software (x264) encoding, it looks like your GPU is overloaded.
Been fiddling with it all morning the same issue happens it's not as bad in some battles as it is with other but in the bottom left I occasionally get a message about changing video settings or use a faster encoder. My available encoders according to memory are something like H264 amd something or another H265" " and x264
So far h265 seems to give best results but it's no purfect. Maybe drop graphic setting from ultra to say combo of high and mid might do the trick?
