Question / Help New to OBS, not really a question...

I have a live stream event this month to YT, this is the first time I have done anything like this. I installed OBS on my 2011 MacBook Air. It’s a basic model, 1.6 i5, 4GB RAM, Intel UHD 3000 graphics. Output set at 480p, this was recommended by YT. I set the bit rate to 2000kbps and limited it to 2000, even though YT suggest half this.
The laptop doesn’t seem too stressed, CPU usage is low. Checking the stream YT sometimes complains that bit rate is too high, but it doesn’t affect actual stream.
I’m surprised my humble Air is quite capable of a simple stream. It gets warm and the fans kick in only.

15:18:16.023: Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 8563 (31.9%)

You're actually dropping a lot of frames. Depending on what your content is, this may not be noticeable, but if it does become a problem you might want to reduce resolution further.

Thank you for this analysis. In the main app window there is a dropped frame counter, it's always been zero. Is your comment about something different?

My comment is about the logfile. Dropped frames are due to network. Lagged frames are due to GPU lag.
