In the sources how can I make a Folder, without linking everything together? I want a folder purely for organizing stuff, but I dont want them to move together like if I were to make a group.

Really suprised this question hasnt been asked more, or maybe im just missing something, I want to put my Youtube handle thats on screen and the subcount in one folder called "sub" but I dont want the handle to move when I move the subcount, I also dont want the handle to get resized when I try to resize the subcount alone.

There is no such thing as organizing in a folder structure just for the purpose of organizing. Source positions in the list matter. Sources above other sources will obscure/overlay them, so you cannot just sort sources to make the list beautiful. Instead you will arrange and move sources lower or higher in the list to get the composition you want to create. The group feature is also not for organizing stuff but to associate some sources, so they can be moved and rescaled together, as well as included in multiple scenes.

If you have so many sources in one scene you need folders to organize them, ask yourself if your approach is right, and if OBS is the right software for your task.

stop being retarded please

Streamlabs has this first of all

second of all it doesnt matter if sources above other sources overlay the one under, I know that, how does that make what i ask for less?

Third of all why wouldnt obs be the right tool? Obs is literally perfect in every way i have no complaints its so much better than streamlabs, but aare you really so fucking stupid that you think just becuase theres no folder im gonna switch from an objetively better streaming software? you fucking moron stop being petty i know thats why you talked that way, "if obs is the right software for your task" why wouldnt it be? just because theres no folder you think im not ognna use it? Youre a fucking moron. Im asking if therse a mod or a plugin that does what i asked and adds an additional source thats just a fodler pureply for organization.

Right now, per source selection (inside the Group) is exclusive to Sources pane. No alternative selection implemented. If you can - do it, and share:

If your issue is with Streamlabs app or services you have to aks them.
You can search for plugins that does this.
You can group various sources and move them individualy.
My signature is a reminder for myself but in this case apply to you perfectly.

Why is everyone an asshole on here...

fuck you how about you k11 yourself? But anyways

Learn how to read you fucking idiot im not searching for anything streamlabs related, it was just an example that streamlabs has this thing that im asking for and im asking for it in obs, I also clarified like 5 times that i wont go back to streamlabs and obs is way better

I did search for plugins that do this but didnt find any, so i decided to ask other people since i thought this would be a more commonly requested feature, guess not

also what do you mean "You can group various sources and move them individualy." can i make groups and move unlink them so they dont move together? The answer is probably no you just worded that retardedly so it doesnt make sense, its okay

I was about to say thank you for the help but of course you had to ruin it w that last sentence and insult me you f@g, im new to this shit, this is my first time using obs of course im gonna be a lil trash at it but I learned a lot already

Like a great philosopher once said: Yes, you can.
There is no worse blindness than the one that does not want to see. There is no worse ignorant than the one who does not want to learn. And then theres you.
