Question / Help New stupid girl asking

Hello I stream on one platform but would like to stream on another and use 2 stream keys.How can I do that?

First solution - use restream.io
Second - run own nginx-rtmp server (local or in internet) and send your stream anywhere you need.

However I can mostly vouch for Restream.io being a decent service that works pretty well. I use it regularly to multistream simultaneously to Twitch, Mixer and YouTube.

If it's supported natively through OBS, just change your stream service in Settings -> Stream -> Service.

Yes. You don't need to use restream just to switch between different providers. You do that with Profiles. Set up one account, duplicate that profile, then reconfigure that profile for the 2nd account. You can then switch between two providers just by changing Profile.

Thank you all for answering. I worry if I will be able to go back to my first stream if I change stream key. I don't quite understand if I should just change stream key or do more than that.Does the picture and sound settings stay the same I wonder

If you store current, valid stream keys for the relevant platforms, one in each Profile named after that platform, you don't need to enter stream keys when switching profiles, and you don't need to generate new stream keys on the platform when switching profiles, either.

More directly:
Create 2 profiles in OBS, one for each of your streaming services. Name them accordingly "Twitch" and "Youtube" or whatever you're using.

• switch to one profile, then configure server and stream key for that service
• Switch to the other profile, then configure server and stream key for the other service

Now you are able to switch services by switching profiles without the need to enter the stream key each time.

Profiles store their own copy of audio and video settings, so if you want the same customized settings, it's wise to not create a new profile (which has all default) but instead copy your current profile for the other streaming service profile. But once you have multiple profiles, configuration changes you make in one doesn't reflect in the others. That's the intention of profiles: often, you need different resolution or bandwidth settings across streaming services.

However, scenes and sources are shared between profiles.
