Hi all -
Have had OBS for a while, finally getting into live streaming with the quarantines in place these days.
My question is about the simulcasting platforms like castr, restream, boxcast, etc. I'd like to stream to FB, YT, and perhaps periscope/twitter at the same time. Would love to include IG in this too, but they currently don't open their api, and its only allowed from a phone. Here's what I'm interested in:
1. ability to simulcast to multiple platforms
2. not super complicated, I'm tech-y enough but the easier to use the better
3. possible to have all comments in the same place so we could reply live? not sure if that's possible.
Our budget is small, we're an indie band/duo and aren't making money from our music, so I'm hesitant to subscribe to one of the super feature rich expensive plans. Thus far we've been using OBS to stream live acoustic shows from our home studio. (When quarantines are lifted, we'd love to include the rest of the band in this too, possible with multiple cameras, but that's another topic! does OBS even allow this anyway? lol)
Anyone have thoughts on which simulcasting platform is best? I'm open to exploring installed options too, but we've also got super cheap internet, and I'm not sure that it can hang with 2x or 3x the bandwidth, i'm starting to question it as is...
Thanks!
Geoff
