Hello All, I have been tasked with helping a medical office capture video and audio from 2 different rooms and recording it on an OBS Studio PC in a 3rd room and display it live on a big screen. We have run cat 6 cables to the 3 rooms and 1 to the comm room for internet access. We are at the camera stage. We do have a budget for the cameras. The videos are for training. $1000.00 cameras are out of the question. We would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Before you start to buy things or even think about actual camera models, you should create a design. A plan. A layout of how all things will work together. For example, you cannot select a camera before you know how to get its video stream into OBS. The same with microphones for audio. "cat6 cables" is not enough information. You need to know the exact mechanism how video data will be transferred, and make sure OBS and the camera do support that mechanism.

In the end, it's probably a totally simple layout, but you have to create the design to see it will work before you start to select and buy things.
