Question / Help New NVENC OBS 23.1 YouTube Video is glitchy

Hello.,

yesterday i update to OBS 23.1 and used the new NVENC. The resulting video is fine. There are no glitches while watching in VLC. But the result on youtube is glitchy and pixelated. Any ideas?

Encoder Settings Recording Tab
Encoder: NVENC (new)
Rate COntrol: VBR
Min Bitrate: 25000
Max Bitrate: 50000
Preset: Quality
Profile: High
Look ahead: checked
Psycho Visual Tuning: checked
GPU: 0
Max B-Frames: 3
The resulting video is about 6GB and was uploaded directly to YouTube. There is no other encoder oder rendering process in between.

-> Low bitrate of your capture vs the material you captured. To prevent bitrate guessing use CQP oder CQ instead.
-> The material you captured is a lot of vegetation (colorful bushes, grass etc) which is terrible to compress
-> You already upscaled to 2048x1152. But for such a difficult material you should rather target 3200x1800

Whats weird is yesterday when i watched the video it was super glitchy and weird block effects were showing, but now they are gone.

hmmm ok. I thought he meant just compression artifacts :D
That explains it then if we talked about 2 different things lol.

Maybe YT was still processing the video?
