Question / Help New Capture Card Setup

I am looking to invest in a new capture card for my OBS Setup. Here is my situation:

I am looking for a capture card that is made for streaming and recording PS4 gameplay, so I did some of my own research for Elgato, Hauppauge, Avermedia, and Razer. I currently own a HD PVR 60, which is a Hauppauge Capture Card, however, the card is not compatible with OBS, which leaves me with a useless card. On top of that, OBS and Hauppauge are not supported together, therefore all Hauppauge cards will not work with my setup. Elgato cards are useful, but they require me setting up a delay in video and audio for FaceCam, which means every time I record my desktop, I have to turn the delay off. Then when I have to capture the gameplay again, I have to configure the delay again, which is not worth my time. So, Elgato is out of the question. I looked into Avermedia, but the LGP will only work in 32bit OBS (which is as stupid as it sounds), and it is not recognized by OBS instantly, so AVMedia is ruled out. The Razer Ripsaw was my best bet, but it does not match my System Specs that are needed for System Requirements, so Razer is not an option either.

I looked into the market again and found the Diamond Multimedia GC1000 and the Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle (which is my best choice at the moment). Is there a capture card that will work in OBS, has no delay (USB 3.0), is compatible with PS4, and matches these specs:

Intel Core i3-4130
8GB RAM
2 500GB HDDs
AMD Radeon R7 240 Graphics

My budget is from $50 to $150.

Not with that budget. The best option, IMO, is the Micomsoft XCAPTURE-1 ($350), but if you only care about HDMI you could probably get the Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI ($300). The Startech USB3HDCAP ($184) is also another option but I can't vouch for its quality.

Is an internal card out of the question?

Are you sure the Hauppauge doesn't work with OBS Studio? I thought Hauppauge devices worked with it, just not with Classic.

I am positive that Hauppauge is not supported. I have contacted OBS and Hauppauge support clients and both mentioned that the card I have (HD PVR 60) is not supported by OBS. I prefer not to have an internal card, but I'll consider it if need be. What card do you think is the best out of the ones you listed, and is the Intensity shuttle a good card for what I want to use it for?

I swear by the XCAPTURE-1, personally. I don't own the Magewell, but I do have another Magewell product that I'm happy with and I've seen others use the card I mentioned just fine. The Magewell is also nice because it is cross-platform compatible. The Shuttle is fine, I guess, but I personally don't like BlackMagic devices. It would get the job done, probably, but might be finicky to get set up, and doesn't support 60fps. The Diamond card is USB 2.0, so it's garbage.

I've never used the USB3HDCAP so I can't really say if it's any good. Startech is hit or miss with their products from what I gather.

Do you know of any popular branded cards that match my criteria that definitely work with OBS? I'd rather not have an off-brand just because I don't trust it.

Magewell and Micomsoft are not off-brand, you just haven't heard of them. Micomsoft is Japanese, and when it comes to video game hardware, they know what they are doing. Don't get Japan and China mixed up, here. They are also the creators of the Framemeister, one of the most widely-used upscalers in the industry.

Magewell is largely business-facing, not consumer-facing, which is probably why you haven't heard of them, but I assure you they are a reputable company. They have only just recently started to tilt their head in the consumer direction.

Startech is in the business of making deals with companies to rebrand their hardware under Startech, which is why it is hit-or-miss.

You may notice that I have thus far omitted the Elgato HD60S, which is USB 3.0 and a recognizable brand. I personally don't like Elgato products and find their drivers to be unnecessarily complicated and slow. I had some bad experiences with with the HD60S, which is why I didn't bother mentioning it. Also, hello to LtRoyalShrimp wherever you are, because you always seem to catch me saying these things.

The point is that, even though it's recognizable, it can still not meet your needs. You have already listed Hauppauge, AVerMedia, and Razer products, which you recognize as a gamer, but they all fall short. I'm trying to tell you about products that actually do work, and that I can personally vouch for as a user of these products for my own production needs, or that I have confirmed with trusted associates that they perform adequately while working with OBS.
