Question / Help New camera being detected but not displaying image

Just got this new chinese action camera today, and it comes with a "pc camera" mode, which I was eager to try (even though I didn't buy that camera for that). Plugged into the computer, its detected, OBS Studio detects it, but when I activate it it just stays black.

I tried with ManyCam and XSplit software, and both detected it and was able to display images. So... why can't OBS Studio (nor normal OBS) display iamges? On a technical side, the feed is/would be h.264, so I don't know if its why it wouldn't work with OBS.

Any idea what can I do?

A log file of the scene would be beneficial, so we could see what parameters were set for the camera.

Update: I did a search, about MJPEG (since the logs seems to indicate it was so) and OBS, and I found this thread:

And from there I installed FFDSHOW and used Win7DSFilterTweaker as instructed, and NOW it works! It's just sad it doesn't work by default, like the other softwares though. Maybe its something OBS could handle in the future?
