Hello,
I have a question, I've done most of streaming from one pc. I just upgraded my gaming rig and ordered a streaming build.
I'm pretty good with pc technology, but kinda lost some with some obs settings. I'll list the builds for each PC below. I currently use OBS Studio as I love is functionality. I'm trying to figure out best way to hook up everything i.e webcam and soundcard, to the streaming pc, plus best encoding settings I can do as Twitch is hobby, so I'm not partnered atm, so I try to keep down scaling to 720 for good stream quality. The cpu encoder options have always confused me on faster fast slow etc. I will also list my sound card, mics, and webcams below, and my upload speed.

Gaming Rig:
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti GAMING 6G x2 (SLI)
MSI X99A GodLike Gaming Carbon LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 (Motherboard)
G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) (putting 8 sticks in to = 64 gb of ram)
Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 2011-v3 (will overclock to 4.0)
Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler
CORSAIR HXi HX1200i CP-9020070-NA 1200W ATX12V

Streaming Rig:
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti GAMING 6G
Elgato Game Capture HD60 Pro, stream and record in 1080p60, superior low latency technology, H.264 hardware encoding
ASUS X99-A LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
G.SKILL TridentZ Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)
Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 2011-v3 (will overclock to 4.0)
Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler
CORSAIR HXi HX850i CP-9020073-NA 850W ATX12V /

Current Audio/Webcam equipment:
Focusrite Scarlet 6i6 USB Audio Interface
AKG P12 Microphone
Logitech C920 Webcam

Upload Speeds:
35.8 Mbs/35800 kbs

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thank you :)

So with that rig you could probably plan a mission to mars :-) For streaming stick to 720p 30fps at 2000-2500 kbps for Twitch, this is the best balance between quality and viewability. CPU presets are a bit backward. Basically the slower the preset the more CPU it uses. I have an i7-5820 cpu in my streaming rig and I set my cpu preset to Medium which means that more CPU time is taken to generate the data in the video stream increasing the quality. For slow processors you sometimes need to set the quality to superfast, for your streaming processor you want to try Medium and maybe even slow dependant on the end result.

Bear in mind as well that OBS can only stream and record in the same frame rate currently and with your Elgato card you can't run two copies of OBS as far as I am aware so that means your recording will have to be at 30fps as well. This is due to change in the future but right now you are stuck with one frame rate.

Hope that helps
