Question / Help Nestopia and OBS

Just downloaded Nestopia to use with OBS and am curious the best way to set it up.
I am on a Macbook Pro 2016, 3.1GHz, 16GB RAM, 10.12.6 Sierra.
My current issue is that when OBS is open, the emulation runs roughly 30-40% slow (shooting for 60fps). When OBS is off, the emulation is excellent.
Once this is resolved, I am hoping to configure the emulator to run smoothly and consistently.
My emulation will be limited to NES/SNES gameplay.

Thoughts?

The log needs to contain a recording or streaming session; performance data is only recorded when one of those is active-- you need to record or stream and stop the session and then upload the log. Even if the problem occurs even when not recording, OBS doesn't log events related to its performance when it isn't recording or streaming.

First, though, download the latest OBS, as you have version 21 and the latest is 22.0.3.

The other thing to note is that you have multiple window captures and game captures in the same scene, and this is known to reduce performance. Window capture in general on MacOS is non performant for reasons related to the OS, unfortunately.
