Question / Help Need some help with backing up things.

Hey folks.

I am currently in transition from my current PC to a new one that i am currently building with my Tax Return money :)

Question i have is.... is there any way at all to sort of 'pick up and copy over' OBS from the system its installed on currently, onto a hard drive, then move it over to the new computer, without having to go back and re-make every single scene and re-change every single setting?

If so... what files/locations of those files, would i need to stick on the storage drive i'll be useing to transfer everything over with?

Thanks for any reply's :)

Hello! I came across your question that you posted a couple years ago and was wondering if you ever received a reply to your question or figured out how to do it.
I'm in a similar situation. I'm building a stream with numerous and rather complex scenes but I won't be using my computer for the actual streaming. I need to transfer all of this to another computer.

Thanks for any assistance.

Are you on Windows 10? I did this recently and, if I recall correctly, I copied over this whole folder after installing OBS Studio on the new PC:

C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio

OBS also has a couple export/import options you could try instead if you like! In OBS, try "Profile -> Export" and "Scene Collection -> Export".
