I have already built a dedicated 2nd pc for streaming and recording and while getting everything set up I ran into some issues with the integrated graphics being too weak and causing lag, confirmed by installing a radeon 4550 to test with(still getting rendering lag but far less than with the integrated). The specs are currently as follows.

Amd fx 8320e
ga-78lmt-usb3
8gb ddr3
500w evga psu
Elgato capture card
OS is on an ssd

I have a gt 620 lying around that I could put in if I purchase a pci-e 1x riser cable(found plenty on amazon) since the pci ports are too close on my micro atx board for a dual slot/thicker heatsinks. I am also looking at a gt 710 card that wouldnt require that riser. If the 620 or the 710 arent going to be enough my next option is a gt 730.

Anyone have any insight on the 3 mentioned options or any other suggestions?

Since the GPU is going to be used primarily for compositing in that setup, the 620 should honestly do the job just fine. I run OBS on an ancient Linux PC with a GTX 260 in it, and it does the job just fine there.

Sweet, The integrated graphics on my mobo suck ass, and the 4550 is barely any better but it took the load away from the cpu. Initially I was having issues with encoding and rendering lag, but the encoding lag disappeared when I added a dedicated gpu and just left me with some rendering lag. I will just buy the riser cable to start and try out the 620 since I already own it.
