Need OBS to capture Desktop Audio

I have been struggling with this lately. At first everything was fine. I was capturing desktop audio from Skype, Google Meet, etc. Then it stopped working. When I turn the desktop audio mute button OFF, I could see the sound level respond. However, once I turn the desktop audio button ON, everything stops working. What could I be doing wrong. Can someone please help...

What audio related plugins do you have installed? what audio plugin configuration do you have running?
