Question / Help need help

Hello, I recently got a gaming pc and have been doing some recordings of PubG. I currently have an i7 7700 and a radeon rx580 gpu. I was wondering if I should be using my cpu or my gpu for recordings. It seems like the quality is better with my gpu but when I'm recording (no in game) it says my gpu usage is almost 90%. I don't know if this is bad for the computer or anything to use the gpu considering pubg is a demanding game on the gpu already.

also, what bitrate should I use for the recordings? I've seen people say 35000 some people 10000 etc

CPU as gpu is horrible for recording in obs and shouldnt be used in general unless for whatever reason youre streaming or recording a puzzle game or something crappy lol. (MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE)
