With that being said, I stream with a Single PC: 12700k, 64gbs Ram, and 3080ti! I used Xaymar’s guide for "High Quality Streaming"! In which Im using: StreamFX: NVIDIA NVENC H.264/AVC (via FFmpeg) Guide here: https://xaymar.com/guides/obs/high-quality-streaming/nvenc/… And when I say it is CRISPY! It is basically close to perfect WHENNNN, Im not playing... For example, here is my VOD from two days ago (1/22)! At 1080p it is damn near perfect: https://twitch.tv/videos/1272695231…
Though, when I start to play, my camera gets blurry.. :/ I understand I can stream at 720p for better results most of the time (haven’t tested with THESE settings but that’s what everyone says). Though, there are two things on my mind:
1) I know there are other settings that I could change for FPS games including “B-Frames”. I'm aware Higher B-Frames around 4 are for non-FPS games or Podcasts. Even though I dont get why is everyone saying use 4 B-Frames? So, is this all just miss information out there..? BUT as of Right now I'm running 3 b-frames based off of the guide. So, should I go down on that? To 1 or 2? If you could someone with knowledge of the Guide or has time, look over that forum and see if those settings are a GENERAL rule of thumb setup? Or could it be tweaked for FPS Games?
2) I want to be able to use my Replay Buffer for clips and content in which I dont want it to export at 720p :/ Since upscaling to 1080 will just take more processing power... And I use clips for content elsewhere. So, if there is anything that anyone can help me out with, that would be amazing! I will also attach screenshots of my OBS settings now! Thank you for taking the time to read this :)
Also tried last night (1/23) to stream on a Base of 1080 and downscale to 720 and it did NOT look good lol.. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1273792611
I have also attached the logs too!
