Question / Help Need Help w/ Elgato HD60S + OBS

Hello,

I've been having problems with OBS and my HD60S. When using OBS, I'll periodically get a ding from Windows as if something has been removed from a USB port and I'll lose the game on TV for a moment - the TV will pop back to the game, but the stream on the OBS is frozen until I physically disconnect and reconnect the capture card.

I've also reached out to Elgato support, but since it only seems to happen when using OBS (I've had no issue recording in the Elgato software) I thought I'd take a shot in the dark here to see if there were a known issue between the card and OBS itself.

Thank you!

I also use an elgato HD60S the problem lies in the USB type C cable it does not sit fit which is why this happens.

I have the same issue with my Elgato HD. I'll lose signal, and it comes back on the screen I'm playing on, but OBS displays a "No Signal" screen. I've tried multiple cables, and ports, yet it continues to happen every 45-60 minutes.
I've left it on with the Elgato software of over an hour now, and it's not dropped the signal yet. Not sure if that means an OBS issue, or setting error, or what.

I still haven’t seen it happen with the supplied software, but the Elgato software is affected when it happens in OBS. I wish the supplied software had a little bit more flexibility for streaming.
