I have just downloaded obs. My first attempt to use it yields a "No server specified to". The analysis of the log reads: "The server answered with 401. The expected response was 201

That sounds like you've chosen to specify a custom streaming server destination without entering a URL, instead of choosing one of the available preconfigured services.

It may help if you upload a log to attach to your post.
