i can't get my hdmi camera to work, bought the black magic intensity shuttle 3.0 . Canon vixia hf r82 camera, new laptop with corei7, nvidia geforce. Willing to pay something to anyone who can help me .
I can try to help I do have the same capture device. Thought I could use it for more. oh well
Anyway make sure you have
1. Latest drivers from blackmagic's site
2. OBS Studio again preferably the latest version
Then add a source > blackmagic > something(cant remember what it says here)
Then properties on that source. I use mine with a nikon d3300(that is all i have found the shuttle to be useful for other wise its a paperweight for me because of its limits)
I have to set the resolution/fps option to 720p 59.97fps for my camera because that is what it outputs over the hdmi live feed.
I believe i determined that resolution via trial and error. Yes I can use the camera to record at 1080p60fps but the output live is 720p for some reason.
I don't know what resolution your camera will output i would suggest trying the non 60fps/30fps options first.
Also try using the blackmagic software to see a preview/detect what the output is.Haven't done that in a long time since my use case is one device once in awhile.
Hope that helps.
EDIT:
Also make sure you are plugging it into a usb3.0 port at minimum.
