Hello

I have just updated to latest OBS version and now I can pick a downscale options when picking output scale under the streaming tab.

Base canvas = 1080p
Downscale = 720p

What downscale option was default in the previous version? So I can match it in this new version.

I tried to find an answer but could not.

Cheers si

Use this setting only if you're using a hardware encoder that's able to do gpu rescaling for the encoder. Otherwise you might encounter performance issues and encoder overload. Nvenc is known to work fine in this regard, with other encoders I don't know how they work.

You see the default in Settings > Video. This is the global rescaling that takes place if you don't configure encoder specific settings. And this is the place you should prefer to configure rescaling if you're not able to use a hardware encoder, because this is taking place on the gpu with its optimized video processing capabilities, so it's not using up significant resources.

Hi

I use CPU encoding as I cannot get AMD 7900xt to look good at all and there seems to be a pixilation issue with the latest drivers which I am trying to get AMD to sort out. I also record in 1080p and stream at 720p.

Whats better lanczoc or Bicubic?
