Hi,

Specs:

Ryzen 1800X clocked @ 3.8Ghz
2x8GB 3200Mhz Gskill TridentZ (@ 3000Mhz)
Gigabyte Aorus 1080 Ti

I play games and stream on this computer(1440p but stream @ 1280x720). However, I realize my CPU is only utilizing 40-60% at MOST while gaming and streaming. And the lag is noticable. Is there something I can adjust to provide a smoother gaming experience + stream?

I appreciate any help that comes this way :)

yes use this list, if you will still have issues AFTER you follow it post full log with streaming session, info in sticky

1. 60hz desktop refresh
Replace with 59,94 for display like HDMI TV
If you have 144hz monitor its fastest and most reliable to forget about 144hz and follow 1,2,3,4
2. 60 or 30 in OBS (59,94 or 29,97 for HDMI TV)
3. 60 in game if there is switch for it (like bf3, bf4, overwatch) - 59,94 for HDMI TV
4. Enable vsync in game
5. Run obs as administrator
6. Enable high performance mode in windows power options
7. On Win10 disable game mode, game bar and game DVR https://i.imgur.com/7CVH7c5.png
8. Make sure your gpu can do stable 60fps in game without being maxed. OBS needs some of gpu resources as well. If you did points 1+4 and its still maxed lower resolution and/or details.
9. Install Afterburner (or pure RTSS+HW Info) to monitor cpu/gpu load and start experimenting with tuning resolution / fps / x264 preset. GPU/CPU load should not exceed 85-90%

Hi Mroczny,

I appreciate this, but I am using those curved UWQHD, and @ 100hz, I prefer it to be at 100Hz tho. I hope I can find a way around it before going to 60Hz.. I was lookin at my other screen for HWInfo, at GPU usage, and it floats around 80-90%, not suire why a 1080 Ti would use alot of it for PUBG at almost all low settings. Ill upload the log file, maybe someone can guide me to what it means

Good luck finding way around, Id like to know it too ;)
Officially pubg is still beta - poorly optimized. it will be time to yell at them after they go retail, not sure they will care , game is a success already

Yeah man... I really hope they care and won't stop till the game is fully optimized. Right now it's just very hard lol. I'll play around for now, but Im on veryfast, 4500kbps bitrate, downscaled to 720p (still 21:9) coz when i do 1280x720 it looks a lil weird that im stretched abit lol. I get a 10-20 fps drop in PUBG whenever streaming atm
