NEED HELP FOR MULTICAM ISSUE

Hi everyone, I need help using OBS for a podcast project. I’m trying to set up OBS with three cameras to make it easier to manage the video recording process.

The issue I’m facing is this: when I create Scene 1 for Camera 1, I can see and select all three cameras. However, when I create Scene 2 to show Camera 2, the video feed from Camera 2 does not appear. The same happens with Scene 3 for Camera 3 — the feed doesn’t show up.

It seems like I can only use one camera per scene. I’ve been trying to find a solution through various tutorials, but nothing has worked so far.

Notes:
  • All three cameras are detected in OBS, as I can view each camera feed individually when using only one scene and one camera.
  • If I use a single scene with multiple sources (two or three cameras), only one camera feed displays correctly — the others do not.
Here’s my setup:

  • Laptop: Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with 32GB RAM (Windows)
  • 3 cameras connected via HDMI cables to the laptop using capture cards
I’d really appreciate any help or insight into solving this issue.

It is a Windows limit that only one entity at a time can read data from a video capture device.
OBS has a way to circumvent that limit. If you have duplicate sources for the same camera, remove all but one. Then add additional instances with the "add existing" option. This will create a reference to the existing source but no new source. All references will have the same name and will display exactly the same image, no matter how many of them will appear in all the scenes.

If you need to apply a filter to an instance of a source, it will show up on every instance of that source. If you don't want that, create a group, put the instance into that group and apply the filter to the group instead of the instance.

Thank you for your help ! However, if this issue is caused by a limitation from Windows, I actually tried it on another laptop with lower specifications, and it worked with 3 scenes and 3 cameras.

I also tried using the "add existing" source option instead of adding a new source for the second camera, but the result was the same ,the second camera only shows a black screen. I can only use one scene and the first camera that I initially selected as the source.
