I've managed to get the NDI showing up under the tools section, but it will not let me enable it. Instead, though only two options are main output and preview output.

Did you install the NewTek SDK files too on both client and server? If I remember, just download the full MSI installer and you will get the SDK as part of the distribution.

Set it up like this...

Gaming PC (you may have one or more)
- NDI Plugin and Newtek NDI API installed
- OBS Studio installed

NDI Output Settings Dialog Box
- Main output checkbox checked
- Main Output name - Joes Gaming PC (or whatever you want, but must be unique name on network)
- Preview Output unchecked

Dedicated NDI Streaming Server
- NDI Plugin and Newtek NDI API installed
- OBS Studio installed

NDI Output Settings Dialog Box
- Main output checkbox checked
- Main Output name - OBS Stream (or whatever you want)
- Preview Output unchecked

NDI Source (at least one NDI source, correlated to all the gaming PCs to capture)

- Source name: Joes PC
- Bandwidth: Highest
- Sync: Network
- YUV Range: Full
- YUV Color Space: BT.709
- Latency Mode: Normal (safe)

I think you may be looking in the wrong place.

In the Tools menu is the options for NDI *output*. You can set a copy of OBS with the NDI plugin to send output of the Preview, output of the Program output (these are separate in Studio mode, at least potentially) or you can add a Dedicated Output Filter to any source or scene, although this seems to be more expensive than the standard two outputs.

So this is where you turn on output on your gaming machine.

On the streaming machine, in your Source list you add NDI as a source type.

Did you guys figure this out? When I click on the drop down arrow to find my NDI Source, nothing comes up, but I have my gaming PC setup as the main output and all of the software is installed. Am I missing something?
