I am running the latest version of OBS from an iMac with Catalina 10.15.6 to live stream church services. I'm using a Elgato Game Capture SD 60 S to capture video from the clean HDMI out of a Canon Vixia HF R800. The SD60S is using the current version of the Elgato OBS link software.
Other sources are an Elgato Game Capture SD60S+ connected to another Canon Vixia HF R800, capturing a Google slide presentation from a second display, and capturing all audio from a mixer (using a Focusrite Scarlett to convert from analog to digital).
My issue is that the video from the SD60S (that is using the OBS link software) is delayed by about a half a second. I tried messing with some of the settings in the OBS link software, but none of the changes makes a difference.
The video using the SD60+ is perfectly in sync, it doesn't require the link software, but, unfortunately, from what I understand, you can only connect one of these at a time.
Besides delaying all of the video and audio to match the delayed video coming through OBS link, which I guess could work but seems like a poor option, is there any way to fix this? Why is the video so behind? Is there a better way to connect two or more of the cameras to the computer?
