ingame gpu load 50-70 % cpu load 50 %
obs: 1080p / 1080p /lanczos / 60 fps
game settings all low, but all games lagging second pc , lol, pubg, cod mw , left 4 dead ( but this old game)
monitor 60hz

Streamer:

i3 6100, 8gb, gtx970,
streamlabs: 1080p/ 900p / lanczos / 60 fps no render lag, i use nvenc new to twitch
monitor 60hz
ssd

I tired all resolution 720p, 900p ,1080p, many fps settings , video card replacement, replace cat5e cable to cat 6 ( gigabit router tplink ac 900)
i tired Obs ndi 4.7.0, 4.6.2 , ndi runtime 3.8, ndi runtime 4.0 (4.6.2 whit 3.8 little bit better)
tired low latency , sync( internal , network , source timing) , not change
i use windows game mode on
I read the whole internet :D but I can't find a solution
what's the weak point ? where to look for the bug? Hardware? software? network? i buy switch? maybe ok 50 - 70 % gpu load but codig bad or what ? i need better videocard ?

at least there would be some statistical data to see what happens between the two machines, it is very annoying for me not to come up with a solution

I made a new test. in stream pc source settings, where sync is set (internal, network, source timing) when I select source timing it will smooth the image for 5-6 seconds and then start lagging. then I choose internal, again 5-6 seconds good picture, then lagging. back source timing again for 5-6 seconds smooth the image then start lagging + image is delayed. What is this going to be? What can be inferred from this? i played CoD mw unlocked fps in this test

The i3 is a bottleneck. You need to have a streaming PC just as powerful as the gaming PC, if not even more powerful.

I went out and bought a switch and that fixed it for me. Give it a try and see if it works for you. My obs preview still gets kinda choppy at times but my recordings come out fine. Im not sure why the preview gets choppy. Its 2 pcs the streaming one is a fx8320 nothing crazy but its able to do 720p60fps at fast preset. In task manager nothing gets maxed out cpu is around 50-70% and gpu is like 20-30% so not sure why i get lag in the preview. However, with the switch my recordings come out smooth.

Thanks for the answer. I don't quite understand this bottleneck. This is just a preview on the stream computer. So I'm not coding twitch here yet. Only NDI works here. CPU load is i3 20%. When I push twitch. i use nvenc new not x264. The problem is that what kind of video is previewing is already lagging, so if this lagging video is out I will twitch it obviously lagging twitch as well. Or am I misinterpreting bottleneck? I am thinking of some synchronization problem between the two computers

Thanks for the answer!
So far I've tried recording, tested it but it was always the same as the preview was laggigng.
Have you used a gigabit router before? and now a gigabit switch? And did that help you? Are you playing locked fps or unlocked ?

I do not want to buy a switch until I'm completely sure what the problem is (network)

Id say go get a network switch and see if it works if not then you can always return it. In my case it worked. Like I mentioned i still get lag sometimes in the preview window but my recordings and stream come out fine.

I am curious though as to what causes the obs preview to lag since its the only thing thats running on my stream pc..

I hesitated to reply, I forgot to reinstall 3.8 ndi runtime.
So!
gigabit router and gigabit switch !
obs 24.0.3
ndi plugin : 4.6.2 ndi plugin
ndi runtime 3.8 !!
Streamlabs obs 0.18.5 ( NDI Source: SYNC : Source Timing ! )
i tested 3 games and perfectly smooth, prewiew and recorded video
uncolked fps 99 % smooth
locked fps 100% smooth
I'm So happy now! Finally yeah :)))

Awesome glad it worked out for you. Dang you got a smooth preview ? IM jelly haha. For the NDI sync which one is better to use? I just left it on network?

Im on NDI 4.7 and Runtime 4.0 and OBS 24.0.3 but I dont use streamlabs obs I have OBS STUDIO on both gaming and streaming. Will try the source timing and maybe see if older version of NDI works better or not.

Also i tried capping my fps before and it didnt make a difference the preview still got choppy. Its smooth but randomly gets laggy and sometimes the recording does pick it up so its interesting to what causes this.

tried the older version of ndi the one you have and I think its about the same. Whats happening is obs on the gaming pc get some render lag but im not sure how to stop it since i limit my fps and game settings are all low too but it still dips to 56fps or so on the gaming pc.
