NDI Please?

I suspect this has already been covered, but with the proliferation of NDI in the last 2 years in the industry, can we please get official OBS support (non-plugin) and updated resources for it? The current plugin is way behind the curve and stands a chance of becoming obsolete which will force many of us to move away from OBS as our primary solution. Thank you in advance.

I sympathize (as a NDI user myself)
Fortunately for me, Panasonic has a Virtual USB driver that makes NDI cameras look like USB connected devices to the OS. So I use that vs NewTek tool or OBS plugin [and I haven't looked back/paid much attention to specifics of connecting other devices]
That said, and I'm hoping others correct me, my understanding that the recommended general approach now is to install the free NDI Tools at OS (not OBS) level, and not the old OBS plugin, to get NDI video feeds into OBS (doing same/similar as Panasonic's virtualUSB driver??)
