NDI over LAN Security: Is NDI over LAN Encrypted?

Can anyone tell me if NDI over LAN is encrypted or not or can anyone with access to that LAN simply access & load all NDI feeds broadcasting on that LAN when they go to add an NDI source? Use case is different companies attending different training events in the same building and various broadcasts may contain confidential information, so I want to ensure the broadcasts remain secure and no-one outside the meetings can load cams, displays, etc, that they aren't entitled to see.

Because of the broadcast and discovery methods used by NDI (which is outside of the control of OBS) in order to isolate individual broadcasts in your network, you're likely going to need to set up individual vlans per broadcast to isolate things.

Thank you. I appreciate your response. My question is though, are NDI sources broadcasting on the LAN discoverable and viewable by anyone on that same LAN? My understanding of your reply is that they are, and that I’d need a separate vlan per source to keep each NDI source private? Is that what you mean? Thank you.

Trying to have a vlan per source would basically break the use of NDI entirely, and would make NDI not the right tool for the job for what you're trying to achieve.

Hi Harold, I was thinking as much. So, do you have any practical suggestions which may be achievable to implement or test out for a general user of NDI? I’m open to suggestions as I’d love to solve this as it would really help my workflow.
