NDI camera video sync offset

Hello!

I have a rare issue here.. I use 3 NDI Cams within OBS (1x BirdDog P200 / 2x BirdDog P100). In the OBS Multiviewer I can see that the cameras are slowly getting out of sync. In the source settings switching between internal and network sync solves the problem for a short period of time, but the problem happens with both setups. When I look at the same signals at the same time in 3 instances of NDI Studio Monitor the problem is not visible.

I found a vMix user experiencing the same problem with PTZoptics cameras, but no one having the same problem in OBS with a solution..

System Specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core processor
32 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics

Also I am pretty sure that it is not a bandwidth problem I would like to mention that the cameras are connected to an Ubiquiti Switch USW-Pro-24-POE Gen2 via GBIT and the PC is connected via 10G SFP module

Hi,

I can't offer you a solution, but I was curious as to how you find the Birddog P200. We are looking at that camera vs the Panasonic AW40-HN for live-streaming through OBS I have tried out the Panasonic, but not the Birddog. We are look for good image quality and we are looking at zooming from about 70' at times. Do you have any comments or advice about the P200 that you could share. Also, any live streaming example that you could share.

Did you find a solution?

I too am using Ubiquiti hardware. I cannot get multicast to work so have it disabled at the moment. I am wondering if the multiple clients (NDI Studio Monitor and OBS NDI Source) are causing latency variations. The fact that the NDI Studio Monitor instances seem to stay in sync makes me think that it is a decoding or encoding issue with the source in OBS.
