I start with saying that i tried to look for solutions all over the internet, but i've given up after several tries, i am unable to fix this problem.
This used to never happen, especially before i upgraded my machine, i just installed a new cooler for the CPU, some more ram and a new motherboard.
The problem:
When i'm recording, OBS occasionally skips frames, it can be A LOT of frames, cutting both the audio and the video, like a stutter, i am unable to figure out what's causing this. I checked the GPU usage, but only OBS was using my GPU and it was using about 25% of it, the game i was playing (Helldivers 2) was more CPU intensive and even then it was using around 75% pf CPU, the CPU can clock itself to the max and its temeprature stays stable (around 70 celsius) under stress.
However, this seems to happen on ANY game i try to record.
I have been wondering if it could be caused by some of my scenes i use for when i stream, where there's a video that plays on loop, together with a couple of audio tracks, though it never gave me these issues in the past.
i tried syncing the game fps with the monitor refresh rate (to 60 to see if it'd still happen) and that didn't do it, i lowered my video bitrate to around 9000 (good enough for a smooth 1080p60fps video without huge pixels)
I'm attaching the log but honestly i'm not sure if it'll help.
The funny thing is that, OBS skips frames EVEN when idle, literally, i could have it open and not even recording and it still does it albeit much less than when i do record, like wth??
