Question / Help My video playback is choppy/stuttering

Im not sure how to fix this. When I go back and watch the recordings the video shows a frame every 2 minutes and changes to another one. No problems with in game FPS, no lag or anything. And if you ask me to share somethign explain to me what it is because I dont understand a lot of the terms.

Switch your recording quality to high or indistinguishable and your encoder to software low cpu use, hardware qsv, or hardware nvenc, and make sure that OBS is set to run on the nvidia graphics adapter in the nvidia control panel.

Where can I switch the encoder to those options. I did the other two though

You did NOT use the settings I gave you in that log.
In fact, you increased the cpu use instead of decreasing it.

My bad I fixed it and found all the settings you recommended, thanks for the fix!

i have the same exact problem, i use to record my video no problem with my older pc i5 3570k with 8gb ddr3 with a 1060gtx 3gb using x264
now i ubgrade my pc with a i7 8700k 32 gb with 2060 super 8ggb from pny, and i am trying to switch using nvenc new
even at a lower preset setting to performance, but all my playback is lagging choppy, i try vlc windows media both do it
even in x264 still less choppy but i can feel a little shutter aswell. here a video on youtube near 35 sec

i got it working again using x264. always used cpu encoding before never had this absolutely need of minimize it obs got get the recording straight. sorry yall.

I tried deinterlacing and it seems to have worked finally for me.
