Question / Help My recordings made by OBS are lagging/choppy when using 1080p, but not as bad with 1440p.

I am using OBS strictly to record my gameplay and to upload for my guild's raids. I am playing on max settings at 1440p, but I set my output to scale down to 1080p. When I did that, I was experiencing some choppiness and lag in the playback. Once I changed the output back to 1440p, my video was quite clear with the exceptions of some pixel-ish moments.

I have no clue what's going on and I'd appreciate any and all help! Thanks folks!

Your using your NVENC encoder and not the 264x encoder.
First switch over to 264x encoder since its better then NVENC.

Can you give us some pc specs?

Just for further information, I have uninstalled and redownloaded OBS. Also, it records flawlessly outside of World of Warcraft. I have recorded Destiny 2 and it works fine.
