Question / Help My recording is always laggy and frozen

I'm trying to record time lapse drawing videos but I'm finding that my recordings always come out looking very laggy and frozen... my drawing program does not lag at all while I am recording and the preview on OBS Studio doesn't look laggy, it is only when I re-watch the recording do I notice how laggy the recording is.
I tried ways of lowering the CPU usage but I am still finding difficulty finding a setting that will work well with my computer :(

I previously was able to record with no problem for around a year (on OBS classic) but it has only been recently that I have been having these issues. Is it still my computer that is the issue or is it my settings..? because I have been tweaking my settings recently to try and fix the problem..
