Question / Help My OBS says that it can't start the output

I'm trying to record on OBS Studio, it gives me the error "Starting the output failed. Read the log file for more information."
I've tried many solutions but they don't work. I'm not streaming, just recording. My drivers are up-to-date.

Info 'bout my PC:
  • Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER Inc.
  • Model: ASUS Desktop PC G11CB_G11CD Series
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHz
  • RAM: 12GB
  • System type: 64-bit system, 64-bit processor
  • System: Win 10 Home

Hmm, it seems the NVIDIA driver on your machine isn't compatible with either the NVENC settings used by OBS, or something in that realm. You could try tweaking 2-pass, the profile or the preset (though remember what they are beforehand). These can be found in Settings -> Output.

If you're sure your graphics drivers are up to date, you may need to go to Settings -> Output and change your Encoder to QSV or x264 (Software).
