Yooooo!

So I recently finally made the big 2k step! However ever since then I have to reset OBS every single time I play a different game. The first time I start up OBS and a game everything is fine it downscales my 2k games to 1080p so the signal can be send out for the broadcast.
However every time I start up any other game OBS suddenly no longer sees the game source as the actual game in OBS tho it still shows the game in 2k and there is nothing I can do to modify the size because OBS doesnt recognizes the game. Because of that OBS doesnt allow me to modify the size of the game making the game look like 2k in a 1080p setting so its missing half the game.

When ever I reset OBS is immediately recognizes the game and downscales it again.. I've tried looking everywhere but cant seem to find anyone with a similar problem.. if anyone knows how to solve this help would be appreciated!

It seems you bought a new monitor and got a new monitor resolution. To reflect this in an existing OBS configuration, change Settings > Video > Base (canvas) resolution and output resolution accordingly.

In case you want to stream with 1920x1080 and record with 2560x1440 at the same time, you need to set both settings in Settings > Video to the higher resolution (2560x1440). Then you need to activate advanced output mode instead of simple output mode. In Settings > Output > Streaming > Rescale output choose an appropriate rescaling method which corresponds to the type of video you process (pixel graphics need different method that sophisticated photo-realistic video), and as resolution choose 1920x1080.
In Settings > Output Recording exists the same setting, but keep it disabled, because the resolution is already what you want.
As video encoder, choose some hardware encoder in both streaming and recording settings. Make sure you don't use "(use stream encoder)" for recording, since this setting doesn't allow different resolutions.

If you don't have any hardware encoder available, it's not recommended to encode to different resolutions, since 2 encoders running in parallel might be too high CPU load and you game will not run smooth any more.

You need to also make sure all your games will run with the intended new resolution. They might not auto update to your new monitor resolution, so check their graphics settings.

When it comes to taking a break from technical issues, an online casino can be a fun and relaxing way to unwind. Many sites offer exciting games where you can enjoy a few rounds of blackjack, slots, or poker while getting your mind off of troubleshooting. If you’re looking for a great opportunity, try using 21Bit casino no deposit bonus codes, which allow you to explore the casino's games without making a deposit. Some casinos even offer bonuses that can boost your playtime, giving you a chance to win while taking a pause. It's always great to mix entertainment with a bit of luck, especially when dealing with tricky tech problems!
In your OBS settings, double-check the scaling options for your output. You might need to adjust it to always scale to 1080p automatically, especially when switching games. You can do this under "Output" and "Video" settings.
