Question / Help my OBS is different

my obs software does not look the same as everyone else that I have seen on youtube it looks like there are pieces missing the setting on recording doesn't have as many options the add on sources does not have the monitor option and the main screen doesn't have quite a lot of options and interface that I have seen on other peoples obs. what can I do to fix it my computer is windows 10 as well by the way just in case it's because of that

Please provide links to the YouTube videos you're referring to.

I'll hazard a guess that you're watching video tutorials for OBS Classic, which is outdated and no longer updated. You're using OBS Studio, which is what you should be using.

"Monitor Capture" is called "Display Capture" now.

Maybe you're looking at videos of the Classic version and not the current Studio version

When (use stream encoder) encoding is selected for recording, recording-specific encoding settings don't appear. Because you're using the same settings as you are for streaming.

The second video is for OBS Classic.
