My OBS does not see the webcam

after a recent update of windows 10. my OBS stopped seeing my webcam. The camera application on Windows 10 sees the webcam. but the OBS does not see the webcam. looked at the OBS settings, but nothing helped

@peterv6i you have other hardware, try to make your own thread with recent logs (and make sure that other software not using your cam).

found a solution:
1.deactivated the camera
2.selected virtual camera and activated it
3.deactivated the virtual camera
4.selected usb camera and activated it
everything works

every launch of the OBS, I have to do the same procedure described above. Each new launch of the OBS program does not remember that a webcam is connected to the PC. this has not happened before. OBS clearly needs updating by its developers
