Question / Help My mic won't work no madder what I do, can someone help?

So today, my mic was a little wired, it was making echos and wouldn't stop, so I unplugged my headphones to see if that worked, it didn't, it really just made a loud screeching sound, and ever since it wouldn't work, I need help.
