Question / Help My Mic Audio Picks up Faint Desktop Audio

All of my audio seems to be set up correctly, but I noticed that when editing my video in Sony Vegas, you can hear my desktop audio in my mic audio track. I have them separated. The most bizarre thing is that even if I unplug my mic, OBS still picks up my desktop audio in the mic audio. Please help me fix this annoying bug.

Try any of these:
Click the wheel next to the Mixer and for Audio Monitoring, turn the Desktop Audio to "Monitor Off"
Mute the Desktop Audio in the Mixer track by clicking on the Volume icon.

They are both set to "Monitor Off", and my mic still picks up the desktop audio without the mic being plugged in and the desktop audio muted in OBS.

Here is a rundown of my setup:
I have an audio splitter connecting to my Astro A40s (because I don't have a mixamp) and you can remove the mic from the headphones. So I just remove the mic and I can test if the desktop audio is still getting picked up, and it is.
