Question / Help My friend is having lag issues with OBS

So my friend wanted to stream today and I told her to use my settings...

The stream was very laggy and it sometimes even froze on her screen on our ends. She tried changing the streaming bitrate from 2500 to 1000, and she tried changing the FPS, and even her CPU usage.

Here's a quote from her:
It's very laggy [only on Picarto tho and my art program] and the video isn't catching up on my screen. I've tried changing the CP Usage, common FPS values and the birate....

I can't help her myself since I'm a Windows 7 user, and since she's using my settings, it should be working perfectly.
She's using a MacBook, that's all I know about her PC.

Then your friend should be the one posting for support, as support by proxy doesn't work well.
