Hello so I currently play fortnite at a competitive level and decided I wanted to start streaming. Just bout a pc and when I play uncapped my FPS is around 260-300. I cap it at 144 since my monitor is a 144hz. Anyway I recently set up my obs and bought a face cam and planning on buying a keyboard cam in the next couple days. The problem is when I did a test stream today my FPS in game with the camera turned on my FPS in game dropped to around 90-110. It would stay at 144 when I was just standing still or walking yet when I started building it would drop down to 100 ish sometimes. I’ve tried lowering my camera (Logitech c920) to 25 FPS, also making it 1280x720 I think it was. Also dropping my stream FPS to 29.97. Also my bit rate to 3500. I’m worried that there’s definitely something wrong I’m doing now and if I get a keyboard cam my FPS could drop to 60 potentially. Any help? Because I feel my pc is easily good enough to handle but for some reason it’s not. Also watching the stream when I build my whole screen gets fuzzy when I don’t builds its pretty clear.

Pc specs are. CPU ryzen 5 2600, Video Card GeForce RTX 2060. If you need anything else that could help you help me let me know and I will respond quick as possible thank you!!

Please post a log.

There is not enough information in your post. Are you using x264 or New nvenc for encoding?
I highly suggest New nvenc since you are using a RTX graphics card. It will take a lot of load off your cpu which may give you the frame back. But as I said, please post a log so we can see what it going on.
Hey thanks for the reply how do I post a log? I was using nvenc but I switched over to x264 and I personally think it helped a little. But idk for sure
