Question / Help My Audio Randomly Mutes Mid Recording

This is really annoying when trying to record, The problem is not with my mic, that works fine, the problem comes when I am recording something and halfway through I realise that the audio is muted on the recorder.
So I start again and I make 100% sure that it is recording audio, halfway through I check again and again it has muted itself, I am not talking long periods of time either, I try to record for 8 minutes and all I can capture is "Hello" and then 8 minutes of silent boring gameplay.
I am on windows 7, a system that OBS Studio should support.
(I am sorry if I sound a bit angry, I am just really frustrated. Its been a long day and now something else goes wrong)
I cannot include a log in this due to a 1000 character limitation but maybe i can include one later?


Can you please help me?

Do you have a hotkey for muting the audio?

OBS Studio has a bug with hotkeys... Just wondering if that may be the case.
