Multitrack video canvases

In the latest versions, multitrack video has been added with the option of additional canvases; the option always shows "none". How do we utilize this additional canvas feature?

As far as I understand the update notes, "support" for multiple canvases has been added. This means the internal OBS api has been extended to support multiple canvases. However, there is no mention so far there is an update in the UI to enable the user to actually create and use multiple canvases. That's probably for some later update. Currently, that's something plugin authors could use to extend OBS functionality.
