Currently streaming to YouTube but would like to stream to Facebook and Twitch possibly in the future. Any tips on if a service is better than a plug in or what's the best way?

I can't say better or worse, but the tradeoff is your internet bandwidth vs. control.

If you stream to everywhere directly, then your internet connection has to support all of those streams simultaneously. And you (have the opportunity to) control every part of how it works.

If you use a service, then you only stream once to that service, and they copy it everywhere. But they also control some parts of the deal.
