Hey everyone,

For my creative stream I want to use 3 webcams.

Face chroma key cam: C920
Hand close up cam: C922
Top down table cam: C920

There is no problem in setting up 2 cams.

But when i connect the third the blue status lights keep flashing and I cant get a picture.

Is it OBS Studio or might it be something else?

Some advice or help is appreciated as my current work around is going to options on the video capture and choosing the other camera from the drop down.

I am running the stream from a laptop and strangely enough the webcam in my laptop is working fine when I choose it, sadly i cant use it on stream.

Thanks,
Marc.

Nm, problem solved itself while I was typing this in another room. I guess it just needed to automatically connect and you just have to wait a long time.

i ran into problems using more than 2 webcams at same time. 3 work intermittently, 2 stable 90%. The answer i belive is that i need to buy a usb 2 or 3 pci 1x card that adds a new usb controller which allows dedicated seperate bandwidth to the connected devices on that hub. if u just simply add a usb hub that dont solve the issue cause hubs dont have controllers, and they piggyback on the controller its connected to.

Im guessing any cheap controller card will work.

If you add PCI express cards , be sure your CPU has enough PCI express channels.
For example, i7 4790k has only 16 PCI express lanes. If you insert a PCI express card yout GPU will we set to 8x instead 16x.
