Question / Help Multiple viewers break the stream?

We have been using OBS for a few weeks now, and have done many tests (real streaming on Facebook, but set to private so only we can view it) to see if everything is working as it should. Every test passes with flying colors!

But when we stream for real, and have real viewers, the stream stops, jitters, and breaks quite often. either Youtube of=r facebooks then make a mess of things and pastes everything together like nothing happened, and usually that means messing the video up so bad that it is unusable. On facebook we are missing pieces of video and youtube made it so bad that even with comprehensive video editing the video was unusable

Why does this only happen when we have viewers? and not when we are testing in a private environment?

Include a log file if you have a problem: here's how

Generally it does not matter to OBS how many people are watching, because more viewers does not mean OBS has to work harder. The additional bandwidth requirements are on the side of the service hosting your stream-- if more viewers break it you need to raise the problem with them.

If you are having a problem on your end, it is not connected to the number of viewers.

Yeah i never doubted it was not an OBS issue. But whas accually hoping that someone here had experience with this problem.

Though in the log from OBS i found that there was a bandwidth issue and frames were dropped/got disconnected etc.

We checked the internet connection and there was a lot of fluctuation in speed. We contacted the provider and they are looking into it.
For now lowered the resolution from 1280x720 to one step lower and did a new test today (with viewers) and that went well. For now, let's hope this works and we can at least stream stable, allthough it beeing in a lower resolution.
