Multiple screens on Mac display

i'm trying to record my laptop screen. when I open OBS on my Mac Air I see multiple partial screens duplicated across the display. how do i get just a single screen, Is this a view setting? example pdf is attached

OBS is capturing you desktop and you have the OBS window maximized in the same desktop, so it's being captured creating this mirror effect.
Minimize OBS and use a HotKey to start and stop your recording, or place a secondary monitor and move the OBS window to that monitor

I'm trying to move between Mac OS spaces. Is that possible?
