Hi all,
Sorry if wrong thread. I am looking for a way to capture 3 PCs to 1 OBS which I can then use as seperate scenes during a stream.
Can anyone point me in the right direction how I can get OBS to capture a 2nd and 3rd PC - Is there a plug in that I can use to capture their games on the same network but different PC?
Thanks for any help offered
I see a few ways to do it.
Probably the least costly would be to use NDI. This would require network connections between all of the PCs but it would work. You could put each NDI source into its own scene. I haven't always had great luck with NDI, especially if audio passing is also involved.
Another way would be to use a single HDMI capture device to scrape the video/audio output of a pc as a camera feed. You could them use an inexpensive HDMI 4x1 switch to change which PC was supplying the feed. This would not lend itself as easily to separate scenes for each source since you'd have to manually switch to a different HDMI input and change scenes at the same time.
I use a Magewell QUAD HD capture card in my system. Blackmagic also sells a similar card. That's the easiest, probably stablest, solution but has the highest cost. With a card like that, you just connect each PCs HDMI out to separate port on the card and they are all camera sources (with good audio) to OBS. This fully supports your desired scene based approach, but also will cost you the most $. I paid $400 for mine (used) several years ago and I think you can expect to spend about that now for a used unit.
